General Information

Stationery
Stationery requirements differs from class to class and age groups. A stationery list will be provided and placed in the message book.

Toiletries
Certain toiletries are required every month, depending on the age group: A toilet roll (if potty trained), paper-hand-towel roll, wet wipes, and tissues. We do not use facecloths, as wet wipes are more hygienic. The teacher will communicate the class’s requirements.

Linen and Bedding
Letterland supply a mattress/cot and a sheet for your child at sleep time, however, you need to provide a small blanket. You may bring your own marked sheet if you prefer. Sheets and blankets are returned on Fridays to be washed. These are to be returned on Monday.

Security
We have an access-controlled entrance, a code will be issued to parents. There are also surveillance cameras in the parking area, entrances as well as in the classrooms and the playground. A person not known to us may not collect your child unless you have notified the teacher or office. We suggest you email or send a WhatsApp message on the Office phone 081 582 1900, informing us of who will be collecting your child.

Kindly notify us of any change of address, work, or contact numbers in case we need to contact you urgently regarding your child.

Sick Policy
For the protection of all children, your child must be kept at home if he/she shows any signs of the following symptoms. • Green thick runny nose or a sign of an infection. • Contagious illness such as Chicken pox, German measles, Mumps, etc. • Vomiting two or more times. • Conjunctivitis or bladder infection. • Bacterial infections - little blisters in the mouth or any open wounds on the body. • Hair lice. Ring worm. Scabies
